Meet Serah Legaile, Solomon Islands
Serah Legaile is a 40-year-old mother of 3 who resides in Wind Valley, a small community in the central part of Honiara town, Solomon Islands. For the past two years, she has operated a poultry business, feeding laying chickens and selling their eggs to sustain her family.
Serah's dedication is evident in the care she gives her poultry."With each egg sold, I see a step closer to achieving my dream," she reflects.
Since joining SPBD in 2013, Serah has benefited from business training and financial support. Both have been pivotal in her entrepreneurial journey. She views her poultry business not solely as an income source but as a path towards achieving her long-term goals.
"My aim is to build a permanent home for my family and provide my children with better education," Serah shares.
Looking ahead, Serah is committed to expanding her poultry enterprise and seizing future opportunities. For her, being an SPBD member has not only empowered her financially but has also fueled her aspirations for a brighter tomorrow.
